Hello! My name is Kevin, and I am looking forward to teaching you everything I know about music! I've been singing at Walt Disney World for over 22 years with the Voices of Liberty, the Dapper Dans of Main Street, and Four For A Dollar. I have a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Penn State University. Even more than singing, playing the guitar, arranging for a cappella, and playing piano, I love to teach! Ever since I was a sophomore in high school, I've wanted to be a teacher of music in various capacities. My favorite aspect of teaching several private students each week is that every individual student has a different story. What is it that you want to accomplish? Would you like to sing, play piano or play guitar? Would you like training in music theory? Do you want to eventually have a career in music? Will this be a hobby for you? Whatever your goals are, I am excited to know your story.

With 7+ years of vocal coaching experience, being a writer in studio sessions with some of the top artists in the world and having countless performances under my belt including being on the top 20 of American Idol. I am confident that I have the knowledge and skill set to get any student ahead in this industry. My focus is on the whole package of what makes an artist. I will assess the skill set of each student and create an individual lesson plan that caters to their strengths and weaknesses and most importantly style. It will be my goal to bring out the true potential of each student and to shine light on what makes them a confident young star. I can accompany each student with either piano or guitar. I can teach lessons virtually, or go to your place of residence. I also have access to a photography studio if the student wants a professional video recorded with quality sound. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from this industry it’s that hard work will always overtake natural talent and I plan to bring out that work ethic in each student every single lesson.

I teach (in person or online) out of my studio in beautiful Sebastian , Florida. I have been teaching music since 1989 and have played in orchestras since 4th grade and currently play the cello in church...my whole family is musical! My parents are both professional musicians, so I grew up around music! My goal is to share my love of music with students of all ages by making lessons fun!! I teach using traditional methods, tailored to the student's specific interests. I am a former preschool teacher and minored in music. I am very patient and enjoy the challenge each new student brings and love teaching children and adults alike. Instead of laying out a preset curriculum, I allow my students to choose songs, genres or artists for their own learning material. My instruction will include the fundamentals that are necessary in any style/genre of playing, but I feel that by learning songs my students enjoy they can enjoy the process of learning and feel much more satisfied after they've mastered a concept or tune. As an independent instructor, I offer more personalized instruction that caters to each student's individual learning style. For both my online and in-person students, my instruction comes with additional practice materials that include custom PDF documents with tab and/or staff notation, YouTube links and even custom made videos that summarize the concepts covered in our sessions. I love being able to connect with my students and share my passion for music. As a professional musician, I take pride in seeing my students grow and develop their own artistic voices on their instruments. I offer discounts for my online services, college students who are enrolled in a music program and for students who want to take multiple lessons per week.
